With my Oculus Rift SDK kit on the way I thought I would take some time to whip up a demo or two. But since we’ve always used a custom engine in our game dev projects, I wasn’t sure whether to go the Unity route or UDK.
Unity 3D seems to be the easiest and most accessible, but UDK is known for it’s amazing detail and texturing and is “best for first person”. That’s enough for me. VR is all about immersion, realism, and feeling like you are there. Unreal developers kit it is.
